The pizza served at the Tavern is delicious. Their menu has a good selection of food. And their single serving of onion rings are so tasty. And they're served warm. The service is good. The Tavern's atmosphere suggest a bar of old converted to a restaurant. It s a great place for families to enjoy a good pizza.
The cheesy garlic bread, cheese pizza, and pasta w/marinara were all very good here. Pretty large restaurant inside with plenty of tables & seating.
Where to begin? The creamy Parmesan salad dressing is the best in town and they sell it by the bottle. (If they aren't sold out). The onion rings are thin and delicious. The pizza is thin style and soo good! The Italian uses graziano sausage, which I personally love. You can't go wrong with the sandwiches or pasta. 2 locations.
The pizza here is really good, and the onion rings are super good too. The cheese and green olive pizza in particular is awesome. It's a cool pub/bar atmosphere as well. The staff was very friendly and service was timely, and the place was clean. Definitely check out The Tavern, a West Des Moines staple!
